INTERNATIONAL MASTER‘S PROGRAMME "ECOLOGY"

In October 2008, an International Master's Programme "Ecology" was established at Bremen University - English is the instruction language. If you are interested to attend, the application procedure is opened - deadline is April 30. Below you will find relevant information about the programme and the application requirements and forms for download.

To apply, you must have a Bachelor‘s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Ecology, or a related field, or you have 135 CP and expect to finish your Bachelor‘s before starting the Master's programme. Applications should include a CV, your Bachelor‘s degree (if you don't have a Bachelor‘s degree yet, include a transcript of records), a proof of proficiency in English (European C1-level).
Deadline for application is 30 April 2016. The ninth round of the programme is going to start in October 2016. Advanced applicants should apply before January 15 at the Sekretariat für Studierende International (SFS-I), in this case an online application is not possible.

Please, send the printed version of the application and the documents required for application to the SfS-International onlfy AFTER you have received an official letter from Bremen University.
Please, do not send original documents but certified copies!
Proof of proficiency in English:
If the last acadamic degree was obtained at a school or university where the primary language of instruction was English, language skills are accepted as sufficient if this is clearly indicated in the application. Otherwise, a certificate will be needed.
For students from the University of Bremen, English courses and C1 Tests are offered at the Foreign Language Center.
You should have at least 600.- Euro monthly at your disposal to be able to finance your living in Bremen.
At the German Embassy you will have to give evidence of your financial independence for one year. Please keep in mind that your studies will last longer than one year and that there is no guarantee for a job.
The semester fee presently amounts to approximately 265 Euro, including semester ticket for public transportation (local and suburban traffic), contribution to the "Studentenwerk" and "AStA" (organizations that represent students' interests).
Information on the possibility for additional tuition fees is provided by the Students Office (Sekretariat für Studierende) in English and German.
Living and Studying in Bremen:
For international students, professional, linguistical and social assistance is offered by the International Office. Please, check their website for relevant information according housing, jobs, visa, language courses, funding programmes, etc. and try to visit the International Office immediately after arrival in Bremen.
